Sometimes it’s nice to be surprised. Via Gerry Breislin, from the Australian Business Theatre, I discovered a great way of stimulating both sides of your brain. Or only the right side, which may be your left side (as is the case with me). The Big Brain Business Book Club presents and picks business books aimed at your left, right or whole brain.
They send you 4 books a year for $30 per book. So, it’s $120 for each hemisphere per year and $240 if you want to have both left and right side selections for one year.
Examples of left brain books: Blue Ocean Strategy (Kim & Mauborgne), Who says Elephants can’t Dance? (Lou Gerstner). Right brain books include A Whole New Mind (Dan Pink), Outliers (Malcolm Gladwell) or Made to Stick (Dan & Chip Heath).
According to the FAQs on their site, the service is available in the 200 countries covered by FedEx.
