We are living today in the most important period since mankind came into existence. For decades we have been running our planet like a business in liquidation; we need to reinvent capitalism. Serge will show you some exciting stories about the restorative economy: being a factor 10 more efficient with energy and resources is a choice for a more attractive, affordable, profitable and comfortable future.
About
Serge de Gheldere is engineer and founder of Futureproofed: a consultancy agency specialized in sustainable business innovation. Their mission is to accelerate the transition to an attractive and profitable low carbon economy, and to help being a factor 10 more efficient with energy and resources by 2050.
Serge was one of the first presenters to be personally trained by Al Gore to educate the public about climate change. Over 300 presentations on, Serge has reached more than 20.000 people around the world - from France and the Netherlands to China, the United Arab Emirates and India.
Serge is also Executive Council Member of the Euro-Mediterranean Energy Efficiency Forum. From 2007 until 2010 he was a guest professor at Groep T, where he is still member of the Board of Directors. Until 2000 he was a product development engineer at Baxter R&D.
