Junior Technical Design & Developer

We are currently seeking a Junior Technical Product Designer & Developer with a passion for developing collections and excellent technical design skills. In this role, you will work across all product categories, contributing to the entire process from initial design to production.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the design team to develop each collection from the initial design concept to preparation for bulk production.
  • Monitor the line-up and track designs, ensuring that products meet business expectations from launch through the development stage to the SMS sample.
  • Follow the critical path and help meet development deadlines by identifying and addressing issues early on, resolving problems, and communicating changes to the Development Team.
  • Complete Tech Packs from creation to production handover, ensuring all relevant parties fill in their respective areas and that all data is accurate and up-to-date. Track any changes, including BOM, CAD, Make, Lay plans, Model file, and Measurements.
  • Measure all SMS samples (excluding toiles) and complete the relevant sections on the Tech Packs.
  • Create and update a finishing list for the Tech Pack, collaborating with machinists to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
  • Maintain consistency of quality and fit across all collections.
  • Communicate fit, quality, and construction requirements to manufacturers through sample comments.
  • Negotiate prices and perform calculations.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Associates or bachelor's degree within Fashion Design or Technical Design
  • Strong technical understanding and expertise.
  • Experience and knowledge of pattern making, product development and the production process and lifecycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of design techniques and manufacturing.
  • Excellent understanding of patterns, garment construction, and fit.
  • Familiarity with trims and materials.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator is a must.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle changing priorities effectively.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch & English.
  • Full-time on site availability.
