Flanders DC aims to unite the most dynamic regions in the ‘Districts of Creativity’ network, with one aim: to learn from the very best.

At this moment 12 strong regions from 3 continents are part of the DC network.

Being conscious of the fact that cross-border collaboration can contribute to a creative and entrepreneurial environment, these regions jointly undertook to foster the exchange of experiences.

• They organise yearly the Creativity World Forum. During this forum government leaders, entrepreneurs, and knowledge institutions come together to exchange ideas and to be inspired.
• They jointly participate where appropriate in European Programs directed to fostering innovation, entrepreneurial creativity, internationalization and entrepreneurship.
• They set up an exchange programme in the field of innovation and creativity.
  Last May Baden-Württemberg invited policy makers from the Districts of Creativity to a three-day tour along their most prestigious innovation centres and institutions in the creative sectors, like the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft that invented the mp3.
