Gaming Lab: Prepare the fair
From 23 until 26 August 2017, the city of Cologne will host gamescom, the most important European trade fair for gaming. In 2015 more than 340.000 visitors attended the fair. But what's in it exactly for gaming companies and how can they get the most out of it?
Flanders DC and FLEGA join forces for a lab session offering an insight on the Belgian plans for gamescom, along with testimonials of game developers that have attended this fair already. We will focus on the practical side with tips & tricks on how to prepare your pitch, how to network, deal with press, follow up your business contacts afterwards, etc… With extra attention on how to talk with a publisher and how to optimise your pr opportunities.
This Lab will be in English.
Kevin Haelterman, co-founder of Lugus Studios will share his personal story on how they experienced Gamescom. Publisher Katleen Evers from 4ever games will give some insights in what a publisher is looking for on a fair such as Gamescom. In addition Flanders Investment and Trade will take you through the pratical side on how to apply for financial support.
This Lab is for everyone who's is planning to go to gamescom or is planning to visit another gaming fair in the near future.
