This May, WDCD Live Amsterdam returns to Amsterdam’s municipal theatre Stadsschouwburg with a new focus and new structure. In this new set up, WDCD Live Amsterdam on 24 and 25 May 2018 will bring together designers, NGO’s and businesses.
‘WDCD is a platform for designers, but in order to solve complex social issues we need to connect with knowledge institutes, social entrepreneurs and companies too,’ says WDCD’s programme manager Nanne Brouwer.
‘Climate change, sustainability and social justice are cross-disciplinary problems. You’ve got to be willing to hear other people’s opinions,' says Joel Towers, Executive Dean of Parsons School of Design. We wholeheartedly agree and look forward to welcoming Joel to the stage in May.
We’re excited to announce that he will also be joined by graphic designer, filmmaker and the first female partner of Pentagram Marina Willer as well as Mexican architect and founder of Ten Arquitectos Enrique Norten. These are just a few names in the line-up of creative game changers who will be gracing the main stage and leading a host of interactive workshops at WDCD Live Amsterdam 2018. Keep and eye on our website for all programme updates!
