So, you want to make awesome games and find the perfect partners in crime to do so? Great! But hang on: there are a few things you should know before you ‘press start’. Check out this Lab to get a good sense of what needs to be done and where to get guidance in setting up your very own studio.
Making games and running a game studio are two very different things. The business part of the studio is the part that most game devs underestimate or try to do 'in between' the game development. However, the way you run your game studio will define whether you will be able to keep on doing what you love: making games.
This session will give you very practical advice on how to set up your team, how and when to start your marketing plan, how to find funding and manage your finances, which fairs to go to and how to seal the deal with a publisher.
You’ll be guided towards people and organizations that can help you along the way.
This event is free but registration is mandatory.
We are co-organizing this Lab with VAF (Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds).
Game developers with the ambition to set up a game studio, and game studios eager to optimize their studio.
