Yuma Labs designs and produces high quality eyewear from sustainable materials.
We are not just another sunglasses brand. We consider ourselves a laboratory, founded with a rebellious spirit to experiment and rethink the way we make and use our everyday products. We are in business to kickstart the circular economy within the fashion industry at large. We love to challenge ourselves, our processes, partners and customers to make iconic products that spark the conversation about the circular economy.
In other words: We make sunglasses that offer a completely different view —quite literally— on the role of waste in our society and environment.
What will you do?
Yuma Labs shifted from an exclusively B2C to a B2B business model. As a communication manager you are responsible for converting this strategy into a good communication plan, you will work strategically as well as handle implementation. You will help put Yuma Labs on the map as a pioneer in circular economy and reliable partner for collaborations. In the short term, you will manage several existing channels (social media, PR, events). In a later phase you’ll expand it to new channels (slow media) and direct the right people for these executive tasks.

Do we need to mention that sustainability is important for us? And that it would be nice if this was no different for you too?
Our company has changed strategy in recent months, and you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our marketing and communications also follow this new path. You will have to develop the plan independently, maintaining your own budgets and targets, always in close collaboration with our sales manager.
You would be a fit for this role if you:
- Have hands-on experience within a similar industry for at least 2 years
- Have a ‘can-do’ attitude in a fast-changing environment
- Can work independently
- Have a network in the fashion industry or you are a born networker, and you get adjusted quickly
- Have a great eye for branding and visual communication
- Don’t have a 9 to 5 attitude
- Are able to travel to our Antwerp office at least 2-3 days/week
- Are fluent in English and Dutch
