Creative Marketing & Communications Intern


MUTANI is a world-first virtual-to-reality fashion brand that empowers diverse gaming communities to flaunt their fandom in everyday life. Through the transformation of iconic game characters and popular titles into contemporary fashion collections, we inspire free self-expression and lasting connections beyond the screen or convention.


MUTANI is on the lookout for a talented Marketing and Communications intern to join our small startup team. This role is perfect for a passionate gamer, who thrives in a dynamic, creative environment and loves to build compelling brand content and visual stories.

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate closely with our Creative Director to assist with research, development and execution of our marketing and communications strategies for our participation in Gamescom 2024 and our first collection release.
  • Become a crucial part in our creative content planning, navigating the nuances of varied digital digital platforms and tailoring designs towards the games industry and market.
  • General project management duties, ensuring content produced aligns with the brand vision and is delivered on schedule.

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Create engaging social media and marketing content that enhances user interaction and campaign reach.
  • Produce short video content from concept to execution, tailored for social media platforms to maximize viewer engagement.
  • Write engaging copy for our social media, press releases and marketing material that resonates with our games industry audience.

Social Media Management 

  • Apply knowledge of the games industry and market trends to develop new ideas and innovative campaign concepts.
  • Growth-hack our social media channels to increase followers and engagement with the gaming community.
  • Managing our social media accounts, through meticulous planning, scheduling and overall interaction with our community.


  • Passionate gamer with an active interest in games industry releases, updates and communities. 
  • Interacting with gaming communities through social media platforms on a regular basis, understanding how to drive engagement with the latest features and trends.
  • Visual and creative thinker, tapped into the aesthetics and subcultures of our time. 
  • Understand how to build community and tell stories through development of engaging content.
  • Located in Belgium and work from our Antwerp office for a minimum period of 6 weeks - 2 days per week starting in July 2024.
  • Follow studies or show experience in areas such as: sales and marketing, communications, media studies, graphic design - voluntary internship is also possible.
  • Have a strategic mind, able to research and analyse our market to influence the shape of our marketing and communications plans.
  • Proficient in photo, design and video editing software as well as videography with smartphone and/or camera.
  • Excellent in written English with a sharp and quirky pen.
  • Work independently, self-motivated with strong planning and organisational skills.
