Internship Creative Studio Assistant

Castart & Our Sister are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team as an all-round design studio intern. This position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in developing their skills further as part of their university studies within design, product development and production. This is a part time position (3-4 days per week) to start mid-February 2025 and is based at our head office in Antwerp with an opportunity for remote working. 

About us:

Men’s brand Castart (2018) & female counterpart Our Sister (2021) are two emerging Belgian brands born with the idea of creating garments with heartfelt textures and vibrant colours that are well-balanced, shifting clothing into a more playful and diverse world.

Since launching the CASTART first collection in 2018, we’ve always done things differently.

The definitive creative thread that runs through each of our collections is one of an artistic journey which allows you to tell your story through fashion. 

Our Sister is the female counterpart of Castart launched in 2021. The identity between both brands will embrace each other such as the source of fabrics but so as within a family we believe in strong similarities and unique personalities to create an outstanding style for men, women and non-binairy individuals.  

Role Description:

  • Assist with research and development of ideas across both brands Castart & Our Sister
  • Help create and organize collection moodboards, fabric files and inspiration.
  • Work closely with the in-house technical development team during collection launch.
  • Support the internal development of the collection, updating boards, working files, overviews and technical documents for design. 
  • Support the production, sales, marketing & digital communication teams. 
  • Help on special projects together with the marketing and styling team. 
  • Assist on photoshoots and fittings.
  • All round support for the team in the studio.

Profile:

  • You are studying fashion or a fashion related / product development pathway at university level.
  • You have a good understanding of the technical aspects of design (garments) and have knowledge of pattern making and construction. 
  • Undertaking work experience placement and are available for a minimum of 3-6 months.
  • Excellent communication skills & highly organized. 
  • Confident in taking initiative, a proactive team player that is positive and solution driven.
  • Driven and motivated to work in a fast paced environment.
  • You are fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • You are fully competent in using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign
  • Confident in using Excel, word and powerpoint. 
  • You thrive in a dynamic working environment and can adapt easily.
  • Strong interest in fashion with an understanding of the CASTART and OUR SISTER DNA.
